Talent Pool Platform

The Basque Energy Cluster actively promotes career opportunities in the Basque energy sector through a variety of initiatives designed to engage and inform both students and industry professionals.

For example, they have conducted a seminar as part of the Master's in Industrial Engineering at the University of Deusto, providing valuable insights into the dynamics of the Basque energy sector and informing students about career paths and skills required in this evolving field, and they are present at conferences and events aimed at students and graduates.

To strengthen its activities in this area, the Energy Cluster has launched the Talent Pool, an online platform specifically designed for candidates and professionals in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) disciplines. This platform connects over 200 member companies with potential candidates, facilitating the recruitment process for positions in diverse areas such as energy operations, equipment manufacturing, engineering, digital technologies and research and development. The Talent Pool aims to help companies find the right talent for their vacancies.

The Energy Cluster Association presented its initiatives at several events, such as one held in Eibar at the Gipuzkoa School of Engineering. They had their own stand to highlight the strengths of the Basque technological and industrial ecosystem in the energy sector, while promoting the talent pool and inviting STEM professionals to participate in the sector's selection processes.

Currently (2024) the talent pool has more than 1.200 registered candidates.

Through these activities, the Basque Energy Cluster not only raises awareness of career opportunities in the energy sector, but also promotes links between education, industry and innovative talent.
