Circular blue growth ESCP


  1. We are looking for partners to create the European Strategic Cluster Partnership (ESCP) on Blue Growth. We are searching for synergies with clusters, business networks, universities or research centres active in Blue Growth.

We have a particular focus on integrated activities for a more circular and inclusive economy in coastal regions, as may be sustainable aquaculture, and seek for cross-sectoral strategic spill-overs, new development opportunities and cross-cutting innovation. If you are interested, please contact:

The ESCP pursues the following objectives:

  • Establish a strategic transnational network of partners that support SMEs in finding complementary expertise, accelerate the transfer of research results to new products and services and tap into new value chains across Blue Growth sectors and related to a more circular and dynamic economy
  • Promote the interconnection of e.g. Sustainable Aquaculture and other accessible Blue Growth sectors to other sectors such as ICT, Waste management, Education, Health, Agriculture and Culture.
  • Support the development of promising projects into bankable demonstration projects  and facilitate the access to public and private funding in line with regional smart specialization strategies.
  • Engage industry and promote public participation to encourage strategic cooperation and transfer of know-how.
  • Make research and opportunities in and around Blue Growth more accessible to SMEs and coastal communities, and more integrated in smart models for sustainable development.
