Blue Growth Cluster


CTN - Marinte Technology Centre, aims to build a European Partnership of Blue Growth focused Clusters to reinforce clusters and technology centres collaboration among different EU Regions with priority in Blue Growth in their RIS3 strategy, while bringing together a wide number of SMEs.

The expected result of this pilot project is the preparation of a joint cluster partnership strategy that will outline possible joint activities and related smart specialization investment plans at regional cluster level to be implemented in lagging and advanced regions. These joint activities will seek common R&D and innovation solutions and challenges in Blue Growth; value-chain linkages among the consortium members and last but not least, business opportunities for collaboration among the SMEs members of the clusters.

The specific objectives of the Cluster will be:

  • To encourage the collaboration among related clusters through the identification of support services to the industry sector.
  • To establish a collaboration plan among the regions with Blue Growth as priority in the RIS3 strategy that will allow the collaboration among companies of different regions, encourage the development the development of the Blue Growth policy and improve the use of Structural Funds.
  • To disseminate the results of the pilot projects to other business sectors to encourage the collaboration among clusters.
