Description

The European Cluster Collaboration Platform organised the third Cluster Booster Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria on March 11-12, 2024, hosted by the Automotive Cluster Bulgaria to open the discussion between cluster managers in refining their action plans and envisioning the future of their clusters. Specifically, the event took a deep-dive into the major challenges of member engagement, delivering innovative services to cater towards member and industry demands, developing a financially sustainable future as a cluster as well as overcoming barriers to new collaborations outside of one’s own ecosystem. Following this, participants made new connections and shared best practices through dedicated matchmaking sessions.

Prior to the in-person event, training sessions were held from January 24-26, 2024, to kickstart the CBA journey with enthusiastic and engaged participants. The event introduced the participants, including cluster managers, cluster employees from across Europe, as well as colleagues from EISMEA and DG GROW of the European Commission, before focusing on enhancing and evaluating cluster strategies, with a strong emphasis on understanding member needs, goal setting and trend analysis. The virtual session set the stage for the in-person sessions in Sofia promising an even richer experience in cluster management collaboration and learning.
