The European Cluster Panorama 2016 provides a perspective on clusters across Europe, focusing in detail on the evolution of ten emerging industries identified in in a previous version of the report from 2014, tracking their evolution in the post-crisis recovery. The report provides information on the role of existing clusters in Europe, looking at their overall size, dynamics, and patterns of regional distribution. Moreover, the report offer a more granular perspective on clusters, emerging industries, and their dynamics. A focus is placed on the the profiles of individual clusters, their performance, and what type of regions they are located. In addition, the dynamics of cluster evolution are measured to identify where entrepreneurship in terms of new business formation is most prevalent.
