Nanoprogress Participated in Transnational Visit to Gijón, Spain: Fostering Innovation and Cluster Collaboration

From September 23-27, 2024, Gijón, Spain, hosted the Ingenious Eurocluster Transnational Meeting, an event aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation across various industrial sectors. This visit brought together representatives from diverse organizations, offering a platform to exchange knowledge, discuss ongoing and future projects, and explore new opportunities for cooperation.
The meeting began at Femetal Industry headquarters, where participants were warmly welcomed and introduced to the new cluster manager, María Montes. The opening session included strategic discussions with representatives from the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA). The dialogue focused on addressing key topics related to future project opportunities and cross-cluster collaboration, setting the stage for a productive and impactful series of meetings.
On the second day, participants visited IDONIAL Technological Centre, where they were introduced to cutting-edge research and technology developments. The IDONIAL team provided insightful presentations on their latest projects and offered a tour of their laboratories, highlighting potential areas for joint research and industrial applications. The visit underscored the crucial role technological centers play in advancing innovation through collaboration between clusters.
The afternoon featured a visit to Gonvarri Industries, a leader in renewable energy. Participants toured their solar power plant, gaining insights into their sustainable energy solutions and innovative solar technology. The following day, the visit continued at Tresa Lifts, a pioneering company in the lift manufacturing industry. Representatives from Tresa Lifts and Ewala IT Services presented their ongoing projects, demonstrating advancements in both mechanical and digital technologies. The tour of Tresa's production facilities and laboratories provided an up-close look at their innovative approaches.
A key aspect of the visit was the series of B2B meetings held throughout the event. These meetings facilitated meaningful discussions with representatives from leading companies and clusters, including Ewala IT, Tresa Lifts, Gonvarri Industries, IDONIAL Technological Centre, Mazovia ICT Cluster from Poland, Femetal Industry, and BalticNet Plasma Tec from Germany. These exchanges allowed participants to identify opportunities for collaboration in research and development, technology transfer, and innovation across industries.
