Highlights of ESECA closing session in Milan

Eseca - European Sustainable Energy Cluster Partnership for Africa - consortium held the final session of the project in Milan in October 2024 during ENLIT Europe conference: there was no better place to talk about 3 years of cooperation & energy transition!
This workshop started with a presentation of Res4Africa activities and how European companies can get involve in their programs. Then 3 companies from Spain, Italy and France shared their experience of taking part in ESECA business missions and how they used these opportunities to develop business cooperations in Africa. Then all the speakers exchanged during a round-table to highlight the obstacles they encountered during their exploration of new markets and the support they got from the clusters of ESECA.
This last activity closes 3 years of program to support SMEs in their development in five target markets in Africa: Senegal, Ghana, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya. The project was very successful. Here are some key numbers:
- More than 70 companies took part in the European workshops, leading to 150 B2Bs
- 32 European SMEs joined the business missions to Africa
- More than 100 collaborations and 45 business agreements were discussed during and after these missions
ESECA clusters will pursue their close collaboration to share opportunities in Africa for European SMEs from the smart grids and renewable energies sector.
