Description
With a bilateral trade volume of EUR 28 billion in 2022 and over 250 German companies active in Taiwan, the island is Germany’s fifth important trading partner in Asia. While Taiwan is well known for its strong footprint in the global semiconductor supply chain, Taiwanese OEMs are now also tapping into the field of electric vehicle manufacturing, with a strong focus on software and electric systems, which makes their strengths complementary to traditional German vehicle manufacturers. Additionally, German and Taiwanese machine tool manufacturers are also forging strong cooperations in the field of smart manufacturing, building reliable partnerships to establish the digital chip manufacturing factories of tomorrow.
This forum will give insights into the cutting-edge innovations and the advanced development for German Taiwanese cooperations in the smart machinery and automotive industries. Participants can look forward to exiting networking opportunities, industry insights, and the chance to explore collaborations and business prospects in Taiwan, a market with strong demand for German automotive and machinery products.
The 8th German-Taiwanese Smart Machinery & 4th Automotive Forum will be held on September 5th at the IHK für München und Oberbayern and is organized by the IHK für München und Oberbayern together with the German Trade Office Taipei (AHK Taiwan), ARTC and supported by the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs.
