DEREMCO project: first open call for SMEs
DEREMCO PROJECT
DeremCo, an I3 project funded under the I3-2021-INV1 call, is on a mission to revolutionize post-use composite product management within the circular economy. With a focus on precision and effectiveness, DeremCo aims to establish demand-driven solutions for fiber-reinforced plastics, prioritizing cost-effective reuse to create high value products. To achieve this goal, DeremCo is implementing two circular pilot strategies: mechanical demanufacturing and hybrid reprocessing, and thermo-chemical demanufacturing and textile reprocessing. These strategies will be tested through 14 composite re-use cases across various regions, including Basque Country, Lombardy, Länsi-Suomi, Eastern and Western Slovenia, Upper Austria, Centro, Umbria, etc. assessing their sustainability across economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO THIRD PARTIES
As part of its efforts to maximize impact, DeremCo is introducing a Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) grant scheme. This scheme aims to reinforce DeremCo's demonstration activities by providing financial support to develop new circular business models and technological solutions in the composite sector. These solutions are geared towards achieving high Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), enhancing the profitability and viability of DeremCo's business cases. The Open Call is targeting innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) across select regions in the EU.
