Ademe Financial Support is intended for a large range of actors and projects, including territorial communities and businesses, and covers research to implementation in Ademe's areas of action: environment, energy and sustainable development. Examples of eligible measures include advisory services, equipment for waste reduction, recycling, heat recovery, renewable energy, etc.

Financial support is divided into four categories: project implementation, knowledge development, behaviour change, and performance contracts. Ademe is also in charge of a budget line on 'Investing for the future', which is dedicated to innovation. The funding includes subsidies, soft loans as well as indirect support via financial advisors in chambers of commerce, trade and industry. This is provided via Ademe's regional divisions and calls for projects.
